Secure Filebox App Reviews

Hello I needed an encrypted file keeper for private photos and videos and I didnt want to spend too much. This app delivered, somewhat. Pros: Photo and video encryption (actual encryption not that fake password locked app) Cons If loading videos & pictures from PC, you can only load one file at a time! Please fix! Videos are limited at 50mb... Seriously Had to upload the 2nd video file about 20 times, rebooting device twice, to finally get uploaded. It would get stuck during upload. This was not a sleep or speed issue. This was something messed up with the app. I saved a couple of dollars, it finally did what I wanted, but I am not looking forward to uploading any more pictures or videos. Note: regarding files on the device, I saw an "open in" option for pictures, but not for videos. Note 2: as I came to review this I noticed an update. I will update and try again and update this review.

Great app, but please return to the former app icon. It looked classier. This one I would rather hide in an app folder instead of showing it off on the first page like I have been.

Does what is expected. Simple to use, the interface could use a bit of work (visually), I had no problem with it so far.

I like this app because it was a good replacement for the Apple supplied Notes app - I used to keep a lot of private information such as email passwords etc. in Notes, but felt it was not secure. This app offers password security, however it does have some drawbacks. 1. Unlike Notes, information entered into this app on my iPad, does not get automatically mirrored onto the same app on my iPhone, even though the information I enter on my iPad is backed up to the cloud. It would be great if I could access the same information on both of my devices. 2. Although the app provides back up to the iCloud, it is not automatic – you must manually invoke the backup, which replaces any previous backups. It would be great if a function could be added that would allow automatic backups without you having to worry whether or not your data is backed up. It would also be great if you could selectively choose which folders you want to be automatically backed up, as backing up everything is not completely necessary.

This was designed by a person with no idea about intuitive design. Useless. Do not bother.

This software does exactly what it says It is great for me.

I use Secure FileBox exclusively for text notes, and it almost replaces "Tombo" which was my favorite free PocketPC app for secure notes. 1. When searching for text contained in my notes, I am successfully shown the resulting note file but I am expected to find the text within the note myself. I write some long notes, so it would be helpful if a search was also provided within a note. 2. When I tap on a line in a note, I expect the edit cursor to be where I tapped, but instead the edit cursor shows up at the end of the note file. Again, I create some long notes so it becomes a frustrating experience to insert text earlier in a long note. These and other suggestions (permit smaller font sizes, provide a custom timestamp/datestamp button, restrict search to the current folder tree) were emailed to the author on July 7 2014 but I did not hear back.

I love that this app is a quick way to secure documents on your phone from snooping friends, parents or otherwise. It allows you to provide a false sense of transparency that not only protects your reputation but your information also.

Nice and simple. Ability to send secure files. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Great private area on your phone to hide from snoopy eyes and a secure place to store ID and credit card numbers

Was great, is now in desperate need of an update for iOS 10.

One possible improvement. When opened, and a file accessed, that file should be available when switching between apps. I have to reopen the app, reopen the file, retrieve info, then repeat the process. In addition, links embedded in the file are inoperative. Or it could be my unfamiliarity with the app

Please. I cant restore my documents was I backup in iCloud after I had restored my iPhone and I had reinstalled all my apps. Filebox included. Heeeelp!!! :(

I love this thing. It keeps private what is private and the option of direct sharing is a nice feature too.

This is the single most important app that I use every day.
